Method
- Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Pour the chicken broth around the sides of the slow cooker, being careful not to disturb the Parmesan mixture on top of the chicken.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Once the cooking time is up, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the Parmesan Garlic Chicken warm, with the sauce from the slow cooker spooned over the top.
Notes
For best results, be sure to evenly distribute the Parmesan-garlic mixture on top of the chicken and avoid letting it fall to the sides of the slow cooker. This will ensure the sauce clings perfectly to the chicken. Additionally, you can adjust the cooking time based on the size and thickness of your chicken breasts to achieve the desired level of tenderness.
